I have a boy and a girl who are now 5 and 8. I tried different things with them as babies regarding feeding, sleeping, and carrying. The mistakes that I made with them at an early age are very obvious to me now given their current needs and behavior. I am putting out my greatest insecurities in this post in the hope that it helps other parents not make the same mistakes with their children as I did. If someone asked me what my biggest regret is not only in parenting but in life in general I would say without a doubt it is not breastfeeding my first child.
My Biggest Regret is Not Breastfeeding
Before my first little girl was born I made the stupid decision to not breastfeed. I regretted it so much that with my second baby, I STRICTLY BREASTFED HIM...FOR 2.5 YEARS!
I knew I was going to hate the way breastfeeding felt and it just seemed so gross and awkward to me. Because I DID understand the benefits of human breastmilk, I decided to use an electric breast pump. PLUS, FORMULA IS SO GROSS!
